Directions, Parking, and Local Info

 

The reading room for Archives & Special Collections is located inside the Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library located on the fourth floor of Mitchell Memorial Library, on the beautiful campus of Mississippi State University, in Starkville, Mississippi.

Parking

When visiting MSU's campus, you must obtain and prominently display a parking permit.

Transit

S.M.A.R.T. (Starkville-MSU Area Rapid Transit) stops at Mitchell Memorial Library Monday-Friday on the MSU Central route. MSU’s own shuttle system runs throughout campus and into Starkville, with special shuttles for late nights and game days. The MSU Central route stops regularly at Mitchell Memorial Library. Accommodations

Dining

Einstein Bros. Bagels, located on Mitchell Memorial Library’s 2nd floor, offers coffee, bagels, salads, sandwiches, and more. A short walk across the Drill Field will bring you to a wide variety of dining options, including the Marketplace at Perry and Colvard Student Union’s fast food selections.
