Mississippi State University (MSU) Libraries are offering an exciting lineup of workshops this semester, providing students, faculty, and staff with opportunities to expand their skills and knowledge across a variety of topics.
The workshops, which are free and open to the MSU community, cover a wide range of subjects, including artificial intelligence, plagiarism prevention, Photoshop, misinformation awareness, circuit design, and Mendeley, a popular reference management tool.
In addition to the scheduled workshops, faculty and staff members also offer customized workshops to fit the schedule and specific needs of your class, office, or research group.
“These workshops are designed to address the diverse needs of our campus community,” said Derek Marshall, Interim Associate Dean for Research, Faculty Engagement & Campus Outreach. “Whether you’re looking to enhance your research skills, explore creative tools, or gain a deeper understanding of pressing issues like misinformation, there’s something for everyone.”
Most sessions will be held in person at the MSU Libraries, with select workshops offered virtually to accommodate different schedules. Participants are encouraged to register early, as space may be limited for certain sessions. A complete schedule of workshops, along with registration details, can be found on the University Libraries’ website.

“We’re thrilled to provide these resources to help our campus community grow both academically and personally,” Marshall said. “These workshops represent the University Libraries’ commitment to fostering lifelong learning.”
