Today we released an update to the MSU Libraries website search. This update uses a custom Google search engine to pull in results from the website plus Scholars Junction, LibAnswers, LibGuides, ArchivesSpace, and Omeka.
The search also lets you easily find images. We hope this will increase the visibility of Digital Collections material and the digital exhibits we host.
There is still a bit of visual tweaking and a lot of search engine optimization to be done, so if the results aren't quite what you'd expect, we will be refining them further. But we think it's a great first step and should help our patrons more easily find information on our website.
