Podcasts @ Your Library

MSU Libraries now produces podcasts! A podcast is an audio and/or video file that is distributed on the Internet via RSS feeds that you can subscribe to and collect through the use of a RSS reader or aggregator. Once loaded into your reader, a podcast can be played on your computer or transferred to your MP3 player. Below you will find a list of the feeds and individual podcasts that MSU Libraries currently offers. What is a Podcast?

A podcast is an audio and/or video file that is distributed on the Internet via RSS feeds and that you can subscribe to and collect through the use of an aggregator such as iTunes. Once loaded onto your aggregator, a podcast can be played on your computer or transferred to your MP3 player. Below you will find a list of the feeds and individual podcasts that MSU Libraries currently offers. These files will provide you with an opportunity to stay informed about our array of services, resources, and events.

How do I listen to a Podcast?

The Feedburner page will offer suggestions for several web-based and downloadable podcatchers (or aggregators). Podcast feeds operate like any other RSS feed with the exception of an "enclosure." In this case, the enclosure is the sound or video file. Opening a podcast feed in a RSS reader is similar to opening an email with an attachment. You will see a description of the podcast episode and will be able to click on the file to listen. For more information on RSS feeds and feed/news readers, click here.
