Stephen Abram

Stephen Abram is the President-elect of the Special Libraries Association (SLA), the past-President of the Canadian Library Association, Vice President of Innovation for SirsiDynix, and Chief Strategist for the SirsiDynix Institute. He has been VP of Corporate Development for Micromedia ProQuest and Publisher Electronic Information for Thomson. He ran libraries for Suncor, Coopers & Lybrand, Smith Lyons Torrance Stevenson, and Mayer and Hay Group. Stephen has been listed by Library Journal as one of their first "Mover and Shakers," the 'key' people influencing the future of libraries and librarianship. He has been awarded SLA's John Cotton Dana Award as well as being a Fellow of the SLA. He was Canadian Special Librarian of the Year and Alumni of the Year for the Faculty of Information Studies at the University of Toronto. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Information Studies. He was the 2002 President of the Ontario Library Association as well as sitting on the SLA Board of Directors as Director and Secretary. He gives over 90 international keynote talks annually to library and information industry conferences and writes articles and columns for Information Outlook, Feliciter, Access, Multimedia & Internet @ Schools, and Library Journal.

Tim Bucknall

Tim Bucknall is one of the creators of Journal Finder, the first Open URL link resolver to go into production in the United States. He is also the founder, convener, and chief negotiator for the Carolina Consortium, a joint purchasing group of nearly 120 universities, colleges, and community colleges. Tim has served as an active participant as a consultant, governing council, or advisory board member for a number of electronic resource groups or vendors, including ERIC, Wiley, Gale, LexisNexis, and NC LIVE. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, and woodworking.

Dalene Hawthorne

Dalene Hawthorne began working with electronic resources as an indexer at Information Access Company, now part of the Gale Group, in 1989. Dalene became an editor of Magazine Index in 1991 and manager of serials acquisitions in 1992. She became a Customer Sales Consultant for Innovative Interfaces in 1998. Dalene worked for various special libraries from 1999 to 2002, when she became Serials Librarian at Stanford University Libraries. She holds a Masters in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. Dalene is currently Head of Systems and Technical Services at Emporia State University. (She pronounces her name like Celine of Celine Dion fame, only it starts with a 'd.')

Oliver Pesch

Oliver Pesch works as chief strategist for EBSCO Information Services in Birmingham Ala where he helps set direction for EBSCO's E-Resource Access and Management Services initiatives. Oliver is a strong supporter of standards - currently he serves on the NISO board of directors and the Executive Committee for Project COUNTER as well as frequently speaking and writing on topics such as standards, usage statistics, OpenURL and e-resource management.

Jennifer Watson

Jennifer Watson began her career at Oxford University in England. After gaining her postgraduate diploma at the University of North London, she headed to Los Angeles, California, where she held a variety of positions with library vendors, as well as volunteering with several nonprofit organizations. Since 2003, she has worked at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee, first as Electronic Services Librarian, and more recently as Head, Electronic & Collection Services.
