William L. Kingery is Professor of Agronomy in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences. Dr. Kingery received his Ph.D. in Soil Science from Auburn University, and his M.S. and B.S. in Agronomy from Louisiana State University. Dr. Kingery’s research group has published papers in a number of journals including Langmuir and Naturwissenschaften. His research interests focus on the application of fundamental chemical techniques to studies in soil science, and to problems in contaminant fate and nutrient management. He and his colleagues have been involved in the application of advanced nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy in soils research, animal waste management for land productivity and water quality, and watershed assessment modeling. He has co-organized several symposia at the Soil Science Society of America annual meetings and at the International Conference on the Biogeochemistry of Trace Elements. Dr. Kingery served as chair of the Soil Mineralogy Division of the Soil Science Society of America.
