Tim Barnett is a Professor in the Department of Management and Information Systems at Mississippi State University. He earned his DBA in Management at Mississippi State in 1990 and joined the faculty in 2002. Dr. Barnett was a doctoral student and graduate assistant at MSU from 1986 to 1988, an instructor from August 1988 to January 1990, and an assistant professor from January 1990 to August 1991 followed by a decade working at Louisiana Tech University before returning to MSU. His current research interests include business ethics and social exchange relationships in organizations. His research has appeared in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Human Relations, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Business Ethics, and Personnel Psychology.
