Ken Miller
Ken Miller is the founder of the Change and Innovation Agency, a firm dedicated to helping government increase its capacity to do more good. Ken speaks to thousands of government managers every year. He is the author of three books: Extreme Government Makeover, We Don't Make Widgets: Overcoming the Myths That Keep Government From Radically Improving and The Change Agent's Guide to Radical Improvement. He is a frequent columnist for Governing and co-founder of Public Great: An online community for change agents that lives by the creed: the work of government is noble, the people of government are amazing and the systems of government are a mess. Sid Salter
Sidney L. "Sid" Salter is Journalist in Residence at the Mississippi State University Libraries. Prior to joining the MSU staff, Salter was a successful print, broadcast and new media journalist in Mississippi. He was the first Kelly Gene Cook Chair in Journalism at the University of Mississippi. Cited by the Washington Post's Cris Cillizza as "one of the nation's best state political reporters," Salter's award-winning syndicated political column has a staple of Mississippi newspaper editorial pages since 1983. He is also an award-winning editorial writer and twice the recipient of the J. Oliver Emmerich Award as Mississippi's best editorial writer. In his final year as Perspective Editor of The Clarion-Ledger, Salter won the Associated Press's top editorial writing award for Louisiana and Mississippi AP newspapers. He is the author of "Jack Cristil: Voice of the MSU Bulldogs," an authorized biography of Mississippi State's legendary radio broadcaster and was an essayist for the University Press of Mississippi anthology "Growing Up in Mississippi." in addition to his duties at the MSU Library, Salter continues to write his syndicated newspaper columns and produce other unique written and digital content for the university as well as regular classroom interaction with MSU students in the departments of Communication and Political Science. -

Hester Bass
Author Hester Bass was born in Atlanta and grew up in rural Georgia, shaped by her mother's love of language, her father's love of family, and her own love of books by favorite authors such as Beatrix Potter and A.A. Milne. Hester lived in Ocean Springs, MS for several years, and has written a picture book biography of the Gulf Coast artist, The Secret World of Walter Anderson, published by Candlewick Press, illustrated by Caldecott Honor winner, E.B. Lewis. The book won the 2010 Orbis Pictus Award for Outstanding Nonfiction for Children given by the National Council of Teachers of English, and the 2010 SIBA Book Award for Best Children's Book selected by the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance. It is also an NCSS Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People and was named by Kirkus Reviews, Bank Street College of Education, and CCBC Choices as one of the Best Children's Books of the Year. -
Chuck Galey
Chuck Galey has drawn all his life. "I had everything I needed growing up in a small farm town in the Mississippi Delta; a pencil, a piece of paper and a long-winded Baptist preacher." He has illustrated over sixty educational books and ten children's picture books, one that he authored. When he is not working on books in his studio in Jackson, Mississippi, he is presenting exciting school programs that inspire and astonish students. His programs, listed on the Mississippi Arts Commission's Teaching Artist Roster, encourage them to be creative in their reading, writing and art. Christee Pascale
Christee Pascale is the Associate Head of Metadata & Cataloging at North Carolina State University Libraries (Raleigh, NC) where her responsibilities include leading the Monographic Section staff of five, overseeing departmental staff training, and managing Departmental cataloging and metadata initiatives. The Department is responsible for the cataloging of materials of all formats and in all languages, both in MARC and in non-MARC schema. She has held previous positions as Coordinator of Technical Services at Utica College (Utica, NY) and at Bryn Mawr College (Bryn Mawr, PA). For NCSU Libraries participation in the US RDA Test, she lead staff training development and delivery, managed staff and workflow, and ensured that the Department fulfilled test guidelines and commitments. Her professional interests include bibliographic description and management, as well as staff training.
