  • The American Statistics Index is used to identify, evaluate, and obtain information contained in the myriad statistical publications of more than 500 sources within the Federal Government.
  • The Congressional Information Service is used to identify, evaluate and obtain information contained in the working papers of the United States Congress. It covers hearings, print, documents, reports, and special publications issued as far back as 1970, or as recently as one month ago.
 
Print newspaper indexes housed in the area include:

  • The New York Times
  • The Times Picayune (New Orleans)
  • The Washington Post

  • The Christian Science Monitor
  • The Times (London)
  • The Wall Street Journal

ERIC Collection

The ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) Collection is divided into two major parts:
  • ERIC Documents are denoted by a number preceded by ED. The Library subscribes to all the ERIC Documents which are located on microfiche and filed by their ED numbers.
  • ERIC Journal Articles are denoted by a number preceded by EJ. The EJ materials are NOT on microfiche. Check the Online Catalog to tell if the actual journal is in the Library.

Newspaper Collection

State, national, and international newspapers are available on microfilm. Titles are NOT filed alphabetically by title but by the town/city in which the newspaper is published.

Journal Collection

Journal titles on microfilm or microfiche are filed by title and then chronologically by date.
