Services and Resources
Library indexes and databases: The library subscribes to over 200 databases. These are accessible by the name of the database, by broad subject category, or across subject areas by using the multiple database search. You may be prompted for your nine-digit MSU ID or NetID to access the library's resources and the content to some databases.
You can also search journals and databases using the search box at the top of the page.
Online Catalog: Access the book and journal holdings at University Libraries
Interlibrary Loan (Illiad): Use your Interlibrary Loan (Illiad) account to order materials from other universities
Library Express: Obtain library materials from the Main campus
Research Guides: Access helpful, reliable library resources and Internet sites selected by subject specialist librarians
For Faculty
- Library research instruction sessions can be scheduled at any time of the day. Instruction can be held in your classrooms or in the Computer Lab. Please contact Melanie Thomas at MSU-Meridian, mthomas@library.msstate.edu 601-484-0236 to schedule a library research session.
- Requests for new materials are welcome and will be considered for acquisition. If you have recommendations for the book collection, a journal or a multimedia product, please contact mthomas@library.msstate.edu.
- Library Reserves services are available for books, articles, DVDs, or other materials selected for your students' use.
- The Information Portal for Faculty lists many more services available for faculty use.
Local Collections
Through contractual agreement with Meridian Community College, MSU-Meridian students, staff, and faculty also have access to the local facility at the L.O. Todd Library, Meridian Community College, 910 Highway 19 North. The collection includes over 66,000 books and over 600 periodical subscriptions. Over 12,000 of those books and print journals have been selected by MSU-Meridian faculty in support of the current academic programs and courses offered at MSU-Meridian. Located just across the street from MSU-Meridian, the L.O. Todd Library offers access to the book and journal collection, photocopiers, microcomputers and the Library Learning Commons, helpful library personnel, and free parking.
