This session will provide an overview of exciting new technologies useful for the classroom.
Computer Hardware Troubleshooting
In this session, participants will get a tour of a computer's internal components and will learn basic troubleshooting techniques that they can apply on their own.
Book Repair and Preservation Practices in the School Library
Topics covered in this session will include identifying books for repairs and the tools helpful in repairing, page mending, inserting loose pages, mending corners, and replacing the spine.
What's New in Children's and Young Adult Literature
In this session, effective book talking strategies across the disciplines for early childhood through high school will be demonstrated.
Desktop Publishing Basics
Participants will receive hands-on experience with desktop publishing software and concepts.
National Board Certification for School Librarians
This session will discuss National Board Certification in general terms.
Lesson Plans on the Web
This session will help participants locate and navigate lesson plan websites for use in the library or in the classroom.
