Vendor Presentations for MAGNOLIA

Update: Please note the following changes to the MAGNOLIA request for proposals. The subscription term for the first year will be a 12 month period rather than a 9 month period as previously stated. Also, the figure stated below indicated that the proposals should not exceed $150,000. While this is correct, the actual dollar amount we have to spend is $118,000. We were trying to put the call for proposals out without disclosing the actual amount on hand to spend. However, to make this process easier we decided to let you know that $118,000 is the maximum amount we plan to spend.

 

MAGNOLIA is pleased to announce that we have some limited funding available for FY 2007/2008 to entertain proposals for addition to MAGNOLIA. In order to give each vendor an opportunity showcase their product and to give the Database Selection Committee an opportunity to ask questions of vendors, MAGNOLIA will be hosting a MAGNOLIA Vendor Showcase on October 23, 2007 in Vicksburg, MS in conjunction with the Mississippi Library Association's Annual Conference.
 

If you are interested in participating in this product showcase, you will need to:

  • register by September 15 using the form below.
  • will have to provide a price quote that represents/includes all types of publically supported libraries in Mississippi by October 10. The quote should be for one year beginning November 1, 2007.   The company should also provide a realistic quote for the second year so that the Committee understands the implications on the subsequent year's budget. 
  • provide a trial url utilizing a username/password (no IP authentication for the trial). 
  • submit the proposal to Stephen Cunetto by October 10, 2007.  Proposal exceeding $118,000 will not be considered.
 
Once accepted you will be notified via EMAIL of the time slot for your presentation. Vendors will not be permitted to view other presentations. Presentations will most likely be restricted to 30 minutes which will include your question/answer session.  Since the trials will be made available in advance, this should provide you with the time to discuss the unique and key features of your product and answer questions.
