| The Library Instruction Services department provides the Libraries' users with the skills and knowledge necessary to locate and extract the information they need, both now as students, and later as lifelong learners. We also provide refresher instruction to faculty members who indicate an interest in updating their skills with the most current technology and information access tools. Library instruction can take many forms, including the following: formal instruction in our electronic classrooms; instruction in computer labs in other departments; instruction in a faculty member's classroom; instruction of faculty at their office computers; workshops and seminars on various topics; individual research consultations; assistance at public service desks; assistance via telephone, e-mail, or other means; and walking tours of the Library's public service areas. |
