The John Grisham Room is a beautifully appointed exhibit, presentation, and conference suite on the third floor of Mitchell Memorial Library. Its main purpose is to provide a place where people may view materials and memorabilia from the writings and achievements of bestselling author, former Mississippi legislator (1983-1990), and MSU alumnus John Grisham. The Room was dedicated on May 4, 1998.

At present, access to the literary files is restricted, but a number of items are on display.
The Room is also the venue for many of the MSU Libraries' events, including the Marszalek Library Fund and Lecture Series, the Collins Speaker Series, and Charles Templeton Ragtime Jazz Festival talks and mini-concerts. Currently, a few items from the Myrna Colley-Lee Collection are also on display.
The John Grisham Room is open from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
