    Q: Who can attend workshops?

    A: Workshops are open to everyone in the MSU community. Others may request to attend sessions; these will be approved on a case-by-case basis.

    A: All workshops are free of charge.

    Q: Do I need to register for a workshop?

    A: Because space is limited, most workshops require prior registration. Please check the individual workshop for details.

    Q: Where are the workshops located?

    A: All workshops are held in the ELI, Giles, IHL or IMC Presentation rooms on the first floor of Mitchell Memorial Library unless otherwise noted; be sure to check the calendar of events to see where a specific session is to be held.

    Q: How do I register for a workshop?

    A: Visit the calendar of events, select a workshop, and fill out the form.

    Q: What if I can't attend the workshop for which I registered?

    A: You can unregister yourself by taking the following steps:

    • Go to the events calendar.

    • Click on "Display Personal Schedule".

    • Enter the confirmation number from the workshop for which you registered, and your last name, and click Submit.

    • The event for which you're registered will display. Click "Cancel" for the event you will not be attending. In the next window, click "Continue."

    Q: How do I request a session for my group or class?

    A: For workshops offered by Library Instructional Services (EndNote, How To Use Your Library, Academic Integrity/XF Seminars, Practical Professor, Survival Skills for Graduate Students, Databasics, Write Right!), contact the Library Instructional Services department at (662) 325-0810 or instruction@library.msstate.edu.

    For other workshops, contact the Instructional Media Center at (662) 325-7676.

    Q: What if I need to cancel a session I requested?

    A: You can cancel your session by taking the following steps:

    • Go to the events calendar.

    • Click on "Display Personal Schedule".

    • Enter the confirmation number from the workshop you scheduled, and your last name, and click Submit.

    • The event will display. Click "Cancel" for the event you wish to cancel. In the next window, click "Continue."
