Access Services

Placing Materials On Reserve

Instructors may complete the online Reserve Request Form or visit the Access Services Department of Mitchell Memorial Library and complete the form. Instructors must read and comply with Copyright guidelines before submitting a reserve request. Print materials may be uploaded using the online request form, or they can be dropped off at the Access Services Department. Items should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the first day of classes. This will ensure that the materials are available when classes begin. Material received after this date will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis (NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE). On average, processing time should not exceed three business days. Please include all full and correct citations on all items submitted. This will help expedite the copyright process.

All copyrighted Reserve materials will be removed from Reserve at the end of each semester. The Library will provide assistance to instructors with copyrighted materials by either gaining permission from the copyright holder or paying the copyright fees associated with materials used for Reserve.

All instructors using MyCourses are encouraged to continue using electronic reserves by letting our staff work for you, posting materials for your course and requesting a link for your MyCourses page.

For assistance, contact Access Services' Reserve staff via email at reserve@library.msstate.edu or call (662) 325-8706 for assistance.
