Dr. Mead earned his B.S. degree in 1979 and his Ph.D. in 1982 both at the University of Southampton in England. During his six years at Southampton, Keith played midfield for the University soccer team and was also a member of the amateur dramatics society. He spent two years doing postdoctoral research at the University of Virginia before coming to Mississippi in 1985 and is a member of the American Chemical Society.
